future of biltmore jazz Sundays?

Congrats to Morgan and friends for organizing the Sunday night jams at the Biltmore.
Are there more planned for the month of May?
Sure hope so.
Loved seeing all those young jazzers down there.

Thanks again,
Gerry

Hi Gerry,

Yeah, we're all booked for May! I have been so busy lately that I haven't updated the thread in the "Live Jazz Listings" category, but the Facebook group has been updated. Check it out if you're on Facebook. Search for a group called "Biltmore Classic Sunday Jazz Jam Session".

Joining me in May:

4th: From New York, Ian Hendrickson-Smith (tenor), Jodi Proznick (bass)
11th: Mike Allen (tenor), bass TBA
18th: Chris Gestrin (keys), bass TBA
25th: Amanda Tosoff (keys), bass TBA

Say again..???
Ian Hendrickson smith?
Wow!!!
Fantastic?
That guy blows the blues like no one else.
How'd you get him?
The place'll be packed.

You would hope so, right Gerry?

"Getting" Ian isn't as much of a task as you might think. We've played together a bunch of times, and he called me and told me the next time he would be in town and I put him on the session. He'll be joining Amanda's band at the Libra Room that week as well.
