Maybe rename the threads to have less vague and tabloidy titles
News and Rumours: thread content (sports and supercars/brands and ownership/ luxury)

CSS has seen some hardcore pissing contests. Needless fighting which probably put many off; all on the fact that some can not accept that others have a differing opinion and feel equally strong about it.

Camaro vs. Mustang. Nikon vs Canon. Republican vs. Democrat. I am guilty too.

get over it

I want to add that the Supercars and Uber-Saloon sister thread are not only among my favorites, but much of the information has appeared there first and before it's hit other sites, and what ever I feel is most relevant to either, or what can even intertwine, whether it supports previous posts or is something enticing which I find from other automotive sites, and within those arenas. I, personally have no sources, direct or indirect, within the auto industry except a buddy of mine who's employed with Subaru, and was previously employed with Kia, and is quite knowledgeable with both. I enjoy and appreciate contributing to those threads, as well as many others, and will continue to take part.

Very many bloggers on this CSS site, be it oldtimers or even newer members, are quite knowledgeable and informative as well as having a passion for the automotive community, that I enjoyed and appreciated posting with all on many areas and occasions, as well as learning from many, and will continue to look forward to doing so, looking ahead to the upcoming year and times ahead of us as the automotive industry advances.

wonder if Losna still lurks around here - had some rather amusing arguments with him and his burning desire to kill my bulbasaur

Well golly, it's nice to be missed lol. I've tended to stay away from the lounge so I missed this earlier... Here goes.

Most of you know I got a new job a bit more than five years ago which returned me to full time (I'd been part time up until then), as a result my free time just began running shorter and I began visiting less. Three years ago (Yeah, that long) My wife and I had our third child and I officially attained lurker status. About a year later my 12-year-old daughter passed away (some of you may remember she had a lot of medical problems), my marriage fell apart, and I really just got caught up in the whirlwind of life and pretty much stopped visiting altogether for about a year while that was handled and I began charting a new course for my own life. Since then I kind of bury myself at work when I have nothing else to do, and try to spend the free time I have with family (mainly my boys) whenever possible. I reattained lurker status sometime last summer but I've never quite been able to get back into the swing of things... We'll just say life's piorities changed and I haven't been able to attach the same amount of enthusiasm to CSS as I once was able to.

Wow, Andre, it's nice to see you around again. I'm so sorry to hear about all that has happened over the past few years. There's not really much I can say; that would be a lot for even the strongest person to handle and I hope that with time things have begun to level out (it sounds like you're returning to some semblance of "normalcy," from what I gather, although I realize that's a relative term in this context). I hope that you do manage to pay a visit every now and then, though we obviously understand that CSS can't be a priority anymore. Wishing all the best for you and your family.
