It looks like fun, but then again it doesn't. I guess it's somewhat a good thing I live where it snows as often as Halley's comet visits the earth.

Here in the USA today, the NY-metro area, northern NJ were having some heavy rains and high-wind, and thankfully the temperature is keeping up or this could have really been a blizzard with a foot or two of the white stuff! Going west towards Pennsylvania, it appears to have gotten some snow in parts.

It's snowing around 2 inches an hour up in Yorkshire this morning. I might post some photos of the snow around my house later today. Temperatures fell to -18°C in the Scottish Highlands last week.

Great photos, Bryan!
Apparently, we'll have 10 inches of snow here in South Yorkshire by tommorow. Temperatures are forecast to reach -20°C in the Scottish Highlands tonight. It's been snowing all day here.

Ten inches in South Yorkshire!? Does that include Sheffield?

Sounds like I might be having a second day not at University...

We're due for 7-9 inches starting late tomorrow and going until Friday morning. The cold is going to make this a VERY messy snow storm.

Well I wasn't going to go into University but as it turned out Hallam sent me a text saying they were closing this afternoon for a second day.

Maybe I'll get to go in tomorrow! Who knows...

Has been ok here, had about 5 inches (rural Carmarthenshire, south wales)
Have had the farmers working all night every night keeping roads clear. Is funny how noone is able to drive on snow though, really isn't difficult.

BryanRW... where in Perth are you?
Stayed there for years

When all is said and done we'll have around 8 inches of snow here. The roads were atrocious earlier, and now that they're finally cleared more snow is moving into the area.

wow, the world is freezing

Here in Honduras we don´t normally get cold days are we are a tropical country, but dang, it have been cold for two weeks now and the forecast is showing it will only get colder. Our normal temperature is 34ºC, but now we are in the 20ºs all day and in the night coming down to 18ºC. Not as cold as you guys but is a big difference for us.

Apparently, the temperature in the Scottish Higlands last night dropped to -22ºC, which was only 2ºC warmer than it was in the South Pole.
It's usually about -8 or -9ºC in Yorkshire overnight, which is warmer than most places in the UK, I think. I drove one of the cars for the first time today. Wasn't too bad. The councils have finally got their act together and have gritted and ploughed the roads.

This is getting bad. It's just started snowing again outside, and apparently, the sea is freezing near Britstol.
