I'm in a weird subset here. I actually like talking on the phone -- which is good, not only because it's an important part of my job but because I don't live near any of my friends. But I hate making phone calls -- that is, initiating the phone conversation. I'll talk on the phone for hours, but I'll put off making the call for as long as possible.
Eventually, there will be powerful psychotropic drugs to help me with this problem, provided I don't mind side effects like intermittent blindness and sudden limb loss. I look forward to that day. |

I do it because others I know love it but after the second or third text, I'll call. My ex has many conversations at once by texting and I hate it. There are people she knows only through text with no verbal communication at all. To me that is disturbing. That's just batshit crazy. Actually making conversation using text messages is a waste of time. Better to just make the phone call and be done with it. It's cool if you just need to ask a small question or if you don't need the answer right away. |

If she doesn't have to see or hear the other person she can handle things better. Like I said before, it disturbs me greatly. She will text me about the kids or about something that is bothering her but when I call she doesn't answer. It is infuriating as hell. She isn't the only one i know like this. |
