You have to be prepared for anything and everything. People usually laugh at me for that but of course as time goes by, guess who they have to come to if they need anything. I have always found a use for something in my backpack. Even the pieces of rop with which I had to tow someone in a bike with my bike for over 35Km because they had an accident where my first aid kit came in handy, and it started to rain where my jumper and my plastic bags came in handy and so on.
My car is even better prepared for anything. I can survive in it for a couple of days...
