Well, my girlfreinds mum HATES me! And my mum isnt to keen on my girlfriend. But if i had to choose, id pick my mummy. I love her so much. She just bought me TONS of CD's!!!!! Dont get me wrong, i love my g/f, but my mum is the one who went through the pain to have me. Laguna, just make it clear that you dont like the situation (authority can be good). Tell them they can hate each otha (each at different times), but not to arguee or fight in ur presence, or each other presence. Tell them to keep their grudges to em selves!!!

a similar thing happens in my house, though I wouldn't use hate to describe their relationship (definitely "on-guard" though). The funny thing is that my relationship with my in-laws and her relationship with my dad and my step-dad are friendly and effortless.
