I miss the old Gmail, this one is trying to be like Facebook too much.

You can still keep classic gmail.

I really like the clean simple layouts that they pulled from Google+. i wasnt sure about the update to reader at first, but I quite like it now.

Nothing changed here, how do you see the new version?

I already said it looks the same to me but no one seems interested in enlightening me as to how it's "different".

Hasen't changed that much.... changed a we bit of the formatting and usinfg some icons in the menu bar. I wa already using a themd look so it doesn't change much.

A tiny link appeared in the bottom right hand corner to switch to the new look. It looks ok, what i dont like is how sluggish it seems to run (scrolling mostly)

Yeah it really isn't all that different, some labels have been replaced with icons on the top, a little more streamlined. Any sort of change is annoying at first, then we just get used to it though.

As long as e-mail remains as e-mail, and doesn't turn into something like Facebook messages.

Looks like design and usability took 10 years' worth of steps back in time. [thumbdown]

I'm noticing a distinct lack of gridlines and symmetrical structure in a lot of modern UI's and sites, this new style of laying stuff out on a screen in a slap dash manner is pretty **** indeed.

Just looks childish to me, it's like console-ification of how we are supposed to interact with computers.

I changed the template to Android and it looks mildly better.
