There were a few of these, I think they decided it was a hoax but, considering some of the things I know people have done, there's a chance it could be genuine.

See if you can find the one about the idiot mechanic that took a customers car out for a thrash and then posted about it on a Mustang forum - idiot even gave the reg'n number and when the owner found out, things really got interesting.

Sometimes people have more money than brain.. Perhaps it is fake.. Like you, I also always lean to the fake part.. But a doubt or question about it is always present in the back of my head.

Sounds logical tho.. but it's far from effective.

if he is stupid enough to do that, maybe he is stupid enough to sell me his turbo for $50. My poor k03 sport turbo currently has a hole in the side of it and I would love to put a k04 in my car.

but I also call bs. some idiot seeking attention.

The particularly one mentioned first in this thread is definitely a fake. He kept it up for a long while though.
