Worst film ending ever?

I think mine has to be Law Abiding Citizen... white text below...

The start was awesome, the middle was pretty damn good to and Gerard Butler's character was a bad ass. He is always five steps ahead and his planning is meticulous, he doesn't miss a thing. Well, until the last 20 minutes.

Why oh why when Jamie Foxx's character finds the building where the tunnels are is there absolutely nothing in terms of security, booby traps, camera systems, motion sensors, or anything like that? Why is the tunnel an open hole under a car instead of reinforced titanium or something with biometrics or at least key code and better hidden? Why is his computer system and camera system in the tunnel all loaded up with his next target and no computer security at all? And why the **** is the fake worker identity he is using at his target, along with his shift schedule, sitting on the desk as well. Just hands them his whole plan on a plate that even a monkey could figure out. I mean honestly...

Then the ending itself is even more retarded. Firstly, the guy who does whatever he can to get convictions at the expense of the victims is the 'good guy'. But then Jamie Foxx kills Butler's character at the end anyway? What is that meant to show? Besides the fact a lawyer with a skill for winning cases outsmarted one of the most meticulous and dangerous people in any film ever is so stupid.

Yesterday was actually the second time I've seen it, and I stopped it once the tunnel scene happened and they found where he was going, I didn't want to spoil what had been an awesome 80 minutes so far and just made up my own ending :P. It's just upsetting how good scripts can be totally ruined by hollywood endings, and going my imdb an ending that the vast majority didn't even want so the excuse of 'pandering to the masses' doesn't hold up either. I just don't get what they were thinking?!

Ok rant over.

So what's your worst endings? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/laugh1.gif For the sake of not spoiling films any replies with other films endings should go in white text to!

The village. First part was ok with some suspense to me at least.
But then the "twits" "O yeah, we are the ones dressed up as those monsters. And this is a private park where no comes and its the 20th century" just left me going: [rolleyes]
As soon as she met the park ranger i stopped the DVD and tossed it.

I'd have to say the film A.I.

Been years since I've seen it, but:
A) The film should have ended when the boy jumped/fell into the water
B) The aliens at the end I've come to learn were supposed to be computers. Complete and utter failure at communicating that to the audience Steven.

End Text

Oh also Planet of the Apes (remake)
No white text needed here: WTF was that? Anyone know why/how/what that ending was? It's as if one person wrote the script then another person heard the name "Planet of the Apes" and said "oh, this would be a cool ending". Terrible. M. Night would have done a better job.

Some are angered at Arlington Road's ending, but I found it more believable than the endings of others films around that time. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/cool1.gif

The Notebook.

Why would they get back together? She was a total bitch to him because she wanted money. It should have ended with him drowning her in the pond behind his house, and then making tea in the kitchen.

The Passion of the Christ wins it for me. White text below.

Ok so this guy dies in the end but after three days, BAM, he is back and ready to go. Completely unbelievable.

I know! He didn't even have it that bad. 3 days on the cross, a day in hell, and all the hallelujahs of the legioned angels for eternity. How about 7 years in ****ing otisville JC?

If you understand this quote, you might have OK taste in movies
