Default Hurricane Irene - August 2011
To all on CCS, members and readers, who may be located in the Eastern USA, that would include myself, and are affected by Hurricane Irene, now moving northward as I post this, along with those who may have relatives in those regions - please be safe, stay put if necessary (go onto CSS if you have power, or if not, go mobile), all hope to be safe from harm, damage, floods, and extended power-outages.

Agreed! I'm just outside of DC...prepping for the brunt of it which is slowly moving it's way into the area. Long night ahead...

Thank you and good luck to you too.

I'm one block east of the mandatory evacuations in Manhattan, but at least I'm 8 floors up.

Everyone affected, stay safe! My wife and I are in a voluntary evacuation area, but I don't anticipate flooding to be bad enough to leave. We decided to go next door to my parents house with a bunch of family that had to evacuate--8 people and 5 dogs--because their house has a generator.

Wishing everyone all the best until the storm passes and hope that Irene dies down ASAP...

Was a huge, thick fog in Boston for a few hours, couldn't even see a single building but cleared out now. I don't think anything except rain is coming here. Too bad it's not Monday.
