Too bad the Fibonacci Sequence doesn't actually match patterns in nature. But the kid writes a damn good paper.

The article says it mimics the oak tree. That other formula's will mimic other trees. He is looking for the best. Only problem I see with this is tree's are elastic, solar cells are not. Won't hold up to elements, without a lot. Good concept that seems to work, though.

pretty cool experiment he did. I don't know why nobody has ever thought of that before.

Half a job.

He's studied the output when the sun is at it's lowest in the sky. I'd like to see it at the summer solstice when the sun it at it's highest and then averaged throughout the year.

Also, what's the deal with the pencil drawn graphs? if he can make a PV array and can write a paper then surely he can use Excel.
