I just don't think it's built to be driven in a country like ours, on roads like ours.
I keep hearing that kind of thing, but really, unless you live in a city or the desert many of our roads are twisty and mountainous and narrow too.

I shall take a driving vid for your thread demonstrating this..sometime.

Jeeps are built for off roading, yet people drive them 99% of the time to malls and soccer games.

Not many wants them in Europe because Harley is junk, and people that do buy them, buy it for the name.

Would you buy a Pontiac?

I kind of get what you mean. Where I live for example, the country roads aren't as wide as two cars. If there's oncoming car's, you have to get off the road. The roads are also full of sharp and blind corners and hills. I know bikes are narrow, and these are all probables for cars as well though. It's the quality of the road surface too I suppose. Plus our poor weather isn't great. It's a bike for being relaxed on longer journeys I think. Also, a British person on a bike like that just kind of looks wrong.

I know I'd be dead if I had a bike.
You do know that this is the #1 cliché reason for not riding a bike?

After all, you're in control (well should be) and trust me, driving very fast on a bike, especially through corners, takes some guts. (for all those who say: i'll go 250km/h and kill myself).

Not many wants them in Europe because Harley is junk, and people that do buy them, buy it for the name.
Thank you.

All you need now is a REALLY loud exhaust to be obnoxious to people when they are trying to sleep at 2 am.

Oh, and to make motorcycle noises.

I have an abundance of bravery with motorized vehicles, you can call it cliche if you'd like,if you saw the confidence and speed at which I drive you would agree with me.

Besides,I also live in a place with a very high deer population,I would rather be in a car when I inevitably have one run out in front of me,not on a bike.

There's also the fact that cars go better around turns, and there are a lot of curvy bumpy roads around.

Looks sweet.

Doesn't matter what you ride as long as you enjoy riding it .

I'm planning on going on a small trip in May sometime with 2 friends, I have a suzuki M805 2007, not as big as that but I enjoy riding on it and that is all that matters .
Well said! [thumbup]

Nice to see on topic posts amongst the swinging handbags!

It's a good enough reason for me to not have a bike. It could be called a cliche, but the statistics kind of speak for themselves. I've had near misses with deer and sheep etc, and wouldn't want to do that on a bike.

Well, now you've joined in being one as well...

Fair enough.
Around here we also have places with deers, usually around roads with trees and open areas. But I just don't go racing 150+km/h on those roads. Because 1) it's too dangerous and 2) the roads are 60km/h max here.
So just go to other places

I would have to travel probably over 100 miles to go to an area that I could speed without worrying about deer, the roads around here are usually deserted at night, there are no police,no one walking by the road, just turns, mountain ridges, deer and me at the fastest speeds I can maintain.

On topic though,I like the blacked out bike more, and I'm not a huge harley fan,but as long as the op likes it and enjoys it that's all that matters anyway right?
