Default What's the best beer?
I think it's Sam Adams Winter brew. It's SO expensive but I can't help splurging for it. I'm drinking one now in fact. What's your favorite beer?

I'd have to go with Smithwick's Irish Ale on tap, a product of Guinness. It's got the smoothness of Guiness, with a little more of the punch of an ale. It's like a smooth black 'n tan. It's delicious!

shiner beer, when and if I could get it. It was my favorite by far.

It is an acquired taste , back in my beer drinking days ,back then it did have a limited distribution.

I for one don't drink......but today walking my dog I saw a beer can that was so small that, to me, it belonged in a doll house... to get drunk with that you would need one hundred of those tiny cans.

Coors Light

In order of expensiveness. I still prefer Coors Light after working outside, or sweating at the beach though. Go ahead, call me white trash.

I reserve the right to change my preferences at any time.

For cutting through dust and sweat on a hot summer day, nothing beats Coors Light. And I think Coors is the cleanest tasting of all the domestic lager beers; definitely a summer favorite. (And did you know that Coors Brewing Company makes Blue Moon?)

I remember, after a party, someone leaving in my fridge a 6 of Milwaukee's Best where it sat for 6 months before getting tossed.

Compared to 1970 when I could first buy beer, it's a beer lover's paradise now.

Yep, back in the day there were few choices.

Back then , for many in Texas , Pearl beer ruled! Knew the head brew master (family friend) Charley Rice, at the San antonio plant. When I did my basic training at lackland, and got my one day pass after training.

He came to the base in his corvette, and took me to the plant and dragged me into the cold room, and put me under a pigtail and turned the taps on. I was under the drinking age at the time, but I was in uniform and age did not count!

That guy only drank beer, nothing else. By his say alone will a new batch will get canned/bottled or tossed.

a barleywine that won't upset my stomach, which is a tough call.

the best - Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Ale.

Also - Anderson Brothers' Triple.

i think Stone makes one along these lines.

also, Chimay has one, but it has a texture more like champagne than a thick heavy beer. Bigfoot is thick & heavy, tastes like it literally has vitamins in it.

since they have an alcohol content closer to wine than 'normal' beer, you have to modify how you drink it - or you'll be plowed. well, you'll probably get plowed anyway, but ...

Crisp, well balanced, about 7% alcohol, pineapple, pear, Saison Dupont yeast, not overly hopped but very refreshing, great with food or without...

Dammit, it's 9am here and now I want a beer.

Thanks everyone. I love trying all the different beers available today. I was drinking wine for a long time but have recently switched back to beer.

I like to drink beer every day. Keystone light doesn't give me a headache or upset stomach no matter how much I drink. Sometimes it makes me stagger and fall down. A thirty pack is only fifteen bucks so it's afordable. It's the best beer for me because it's cheap entertainment, tastes good to me and no hangovers.

Mic Ultra, low carb, no hangovers. I'm not much of a beer snob, I'd rather put the money towards a great steak.
