Stupid *******, more like!
Too fast, lack of anticipation as truck started turning, laid bike down rather than using the brakes which are many times more effective than metal on road for reducing speed!
Ne excuses, no sympathy!

Looks like he hit some loose grit. Most likely he felt the back wheel wobble and slammed on the breaks which locked the rear and caused him to fall off. If you need to brake in a hurry a then engine brake while easing on the main brakes so not to cause the wheel to lock.

motorbikes brake 70 or 80 % with front wheel... when lose gravel or little stones are under the tire.. try to keep it balanced. I doubt it is a backwheel wobble.... Look at front wheel shadow !

It wasn't the rear locking that caused him to fall off, it'd have to be the front. He was probably surprised by the truck, slammed the front brakes, and down you go!

I think he should take up skiing instead of Biking,an Natural skier and potential Gold Medalist if I've ever seen one,IMHO.Russia still got some opening places for Winter Olympics 2014.Cheer's.

That glance to took to his right proved to be a mistake. I don't know if he went down on purpose either.

I was thinking this too, looks like he probably slowed down "as much as he could", then bailed to stop faster.

You don't stop faster sliding down the asphalt... So if he did crash on purpose, it wasn't a very smart move. He probably slammed the front brake too hard and simply fell. The rest was out of his hands.
