I suppose you could scrape it up off the floor and walls, could maybe still do something with it? Maybe? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/laugh1.gif

Ibrattnofich 02-24-2011 02:03 AM

To be honest I think the dogs would like it if I got that opener.

Well, after they got over being terrified of the gunshots and the maniac wandering around opening tins of tuna with a shotgun.

But yeah, after all that I bet they would too!

I'll be honest, they put me up to it,paid me $50 to try and convince you that a shotgun is the best way.

They use to the sound of rifles though http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/cool1.gif

Probably not used to the sound of rifles in the house..or is there something you want to tell us?

Ibrattnofich 02-24-2011 02:10 AM

Actually they are, shot a few shots from in the house before, but say no more.

[shocked] [rofl]

Where are the bodies buried?

No anyway. I just always use cheap metal tin openers, they don't look anything special...but ffs all they need to do is open cans.

And they don't break!

Or...you could use the Benelli. [thumbup]

Ibrattnofich 02-24-2011 02:32 AM

I use those cheap ones to, had a few over the years, cheap metal ones, cheap plastic ones, they all fail!

So end up using a knife.

The metal ones break too? How exactly are you using the opener?

Well am not shoving it up my ass if that's what you mean [rofl]

How else can you use a tin opener apart from put it on the tin and turn ? Maybe it's the amount of tins being opened, I love tinned fish, tomato's and whatever other tinned stuff so they get used allot.

Er...no,that is NOT what I meant....but wow.

I more envisioned maybe trying to smack the tin with the opener until it broke open and spilled it's delicious contents...or something like that.

£7.30 is not much would pay up to £20 if it's really good quality.

layevymed 02-25-2011 12:04 AM

Get the one from Tupperware, it´s around 30 €.
I know a bit expensive but worth it, it doesn´t rip the lid apart like normal openers do, but cleanly opens the top of the can, allowing you to put the "lid" back on when you want to.

shemadagaswer 02-25-2011 12:08 AM

I spent about 70 USD on a Monopol one.

I have to note that the Germans usually make money when I go for kitchen equipment.

OXO Steel
This can opener is the bomb, makes opening cans a breeze and it hasn't broken! Had it for 2 years now and is smooth as ever!. http://messenger.msn.com/MMM2006-04-...ades_smile.gif

http://www.binbin.net/photos/other/tin/tin-opener.jpg Or similar from wherever. Hate most of the electric ones and plastic ones that cut the sides rather than the top outer-edge. Dead cheap as well so if it goes blunt, grab another.

Been a while since I've eaten anything from a tin to be honest though. I tend to just use it as a bottle opener.
