Default I Am Unsure About Posting On Here Now
I have been here since February 1, 2010 and so far people have not been that nice to me. But I like Yu Gi Oh! just like everyone else does. Some people want me banned. But I have a few friends on here. I am now unsure and a little scared now about posting on here. So far people have been so negative. Some people just don't want me posting in The Vent. I hope this thread is not closed like the others. I hope some of my older posts get deleted. Yes there will be punch and pie at the funerals. I was first into Yu Gi Oh! when it came out in 2000 I was 18. I am talking about the cartoon show not the trading card game. I am more interested in the cartoon show. Anyways I am now unsure about posting in this forum. I am now worried about being yelled at. Now it sometimes feel like I can't breathe. It is horrible that some people on here are not decent people. They yell at me and say bad things. My life off of this forum is sort of the same way but not really. I have given up slowly on telling them to be nice. It is a lost cause because they are not decent people. I have Asperger Syndrome and I feel like an outsider. I mean that there will be punch and pie at Marik Ishtar's Funeral. Then there will be punch and pie at Yugi Moto's, etc., and Tea Gardener's Funeral. Marik Ishtar's Funeral will be February 14th. Uh I am not sure if I should go on ahead and post or I should pm Faust first. I know that I would pm the Fanfic to Faust first or I will receive an infraction. Infractions are not fun. They will eventually lead to a ban or something. Yeah I know about the no Snuff and Child Pornography rule.
I would not do anything that would put that on this board. I usually write Fanfiction. But they do not have child pornography or anything like that.
The characters are mostly 13+. Yu Gi Oh! orientated from Japan so that means that it had some stuff that was cut out. It had bad language in the Japanese version that was edited out in the English. It was mostly Yami Bakura and Marik Ishtar that said bad words. I do not understand why in the Japanese Version that they would have bad language. But then in the English Version there was no bad language. So anyway I am now unsure about posting on here now. So I will post this thread and see what happens. Most of my days are spent inside the house and I am on the computer. Oh and by the way Little Kuriboh's Yu Gi Oh! The Abridged Series has bad language in it. But there again it is only Marik Ishtar or Yami Bakura that says bad words. But this time some of the other characters say bad words as well. And on this one Yami Marik who is renamed Melvin uses bad language. Due to my upbringing bad language is taboo. (Note: I hope to have a full post soon. There again I am unsure about posting on here now.)

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Tip: You've done nothing wrong in The Vent. If you feel people have wronged you, use the Report button. If you want to post here, make sure your content conforms to forum rules.

Sayo I got this!

In the real world people have little respect for each other Jenny! It's a sad but true statement about the way things are in this day and age! And as for Japan they have a different moralitys code than they do here in the USA! Different cultures have different religions, moralitys, customs, and even laws than we do so Bakura and Marik using curse words wouldn't seem all that odd! (Considering the demons possessing both characters were evil demons anyway so what would saying hell or dammit or whatever mean to them? They're evil demons!)

As for the way people are on the forum?

There's good people and bad! It would be better if there was less turmoil and insults/flaming/bickering/retardness/acting like complete egotistical prick knowitall that "supposedly" is being brutally honest as an excuse to insult other members and expecting to be respected and treated as a god and better than you in every conceivable fashion known to man but.......

Certain people just are the way they are and there's nothing that can be done about it! People say curse words! It's part of societies vocabulary! You may not like it due to your religious upbringings but that's just how things are! You can't change people's negative attitudes towards other members on the forum! If that were possible I would be less of a nuisance on here myself by irritating the people that want to be a detrement to this forum by treating other members like dirt under their feet!

For the record, Marik was not possessed by a demon. Yami Marik is a split personality that manifested from Marik's anguish and hatred.

And as for why the original anime is so different: it has nothing to do with Japan's culture. The series was intended for teenagers, not kids. It's about the same as trying to market, for example, Left 4 Dead to children.

The series is dark, not terribly dark, but quite often there is risk of death because of a game of darkness. I'm not talking about "shadow realm" bull****, that's just a cover for someone dying.

For example: Yugi and Kaiba's tag team match on top of that building. There was no portal to the shadow realm below the glass; if they lost, the glass would break and they would fall down the entire building to their deaths.

There were no "dark energy disks" in the duel of Yugi vs. Arkana, they were large saw blades; the loser would literally have their legs cut off and eventually die of blood loss.

Now, given the events of the show where duels could result in death (depending on whether someone had a Millenium item and started a game of darkness), it makes a lot of sense that Joey would scream at Kaiba and call him a bastard when Mai lost to Marik; wouldn't you be pissed?

Speaking of the Millenium items, they required 99 human sacrifices. The villagers of Kul Elna were slaughtered and their blood, bones, and flesh all melted together with the gold to create the items.

If you read all that, chances are you can no longer justify calling it a kid's show. The only reason it seems like that is because of how 4kids changed the series to be child-friendly, but it was never meant to be that way.

tl;dr @ everyone besides Fred.

If you don't want to be yelled at, stay out of The Vent because people have a lot more leniency there when it comes to flaming.

I think just leaving it at this gets the point across.

Okay. Thanks for clearing that up. I am an adult. I think that cussing makes you look stupid. Yeah okay. It was really meant for teenagers not kids. So they had to take out a lot to make it suitable for kids.

Reading your two posts in this thread sounds contridicting because you say swearing is stupid and that you like the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, but you mainly hang out in the vent and make not very good fanfics.

With that said, maybe you should join a site labeled "Marik and Bakura fangirls" and log out off here forever j/s.

Dear Jenny...

I am usually very patient, tolerant and nice...so I will do this 'nicely'.

What all of your fanfics lack is a certain degree of 'ambiguity'. You don't have to swear or have yaoi in them...you just have to learn how to say things which leave it up to the reader's imagination...you can always be a bit 'naughty' without being rude or offensive.

What your fanfics also lack is any coherent storyline or plot. It all just seems like a bunch of whimsical ramblings to me. I am not meaning to be nasty/rude, I am just giving you a bit of constructive critique and advice, so take it how you will.

In addition, the format you use is actually not really suitable for a fanfic....it's all just a lot of 'he said, she said' which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Next time, try writing an actual story... one that has a beginning, middle and end.

Truthfully, I am a Yami Bakura fangirl (as you well know), but honestly, teenage (and older boys) on a Yugioh forum don't want to hear about my fantasies...they all think that it's pretty much 'borked in the head' that a woman pushing thirty and one pushing fifty to have such illogical fantasies about fictional characters (no matter how totally cute they are)

To be honest, I do not blame them one little bit. Yes, it's very stupid, bordering on insane.

They also don't care who kills who...who lives, who dies, who you have 'funerals' for and all that...I actually made a thread about this...it was meant to be sarcastic but as we all know, sarcasm is impossible to imply over the internet.

I just got pissed off when you took the opportunity to post one of your 'fanfics' in my thread about enjoying the game casually. That was neither the time, nor the place for it.

In the end...don't leave...but (how to say this nicely without offending you) 'grow the f*** up'....improve your writing style...read other fanfics to help you...understand how other people on this forum feel and how your writing may affect them (positively or negatively) and always remember...the most satisfying affairs are dark, secret ones.

Good luck, sweetie.

I guess since it's kind of on subject, I should say I like fangirls...

No, seriously. I find nonsensical ramblings about something I personally don't care about kind of cute.

Guess it's just me?? O_o

Speaking of the Millenium items, they required 99 human sacrifices. The villagers of Kul Elna were slaughtered and their blood, bones, and flesh all melted together with the gold to create the items. Young Akefia witnessed this horror and vowed revenge on the whole Pharaonic lineage for that atrocity.
He was emotionally scarred at a tender age after watching his whole family brutally murdered by the evil uncle of Atemu (whose name escapes me atm).

His desire to possess the Millenium Items was to awaken the trapped spirits of Kul Elna in the form of Zorc Necrophades to exact this revenge.

This is why my heart bleeds for Yami Bakura and why I totally understand how/why he became insane and the whole purpose of his mission, even after 5000 years.
