Question about my new LCD TV - DiscussWorldIssues - Socio-Economic Religion and Political Uncensored Debate

Hey guys,

I just got a Samsung LN46C630K1F 120hz LCD TV. I've been using my old standard tv for about 16yrs, finally died.

My question was, seeing as I am very new to HD, will the top and bottom black bars when playing dvds in 16:9 burn in or hurt the tv at all?

I've heard about this on some tvs but after spending around $800 on this I'm a bit nervous about it.
