Default Songs similar to "Comfortably Numb"
Hey FM. Long time no see.

I come to you for suggestions on good songs that you can mellow / zone out to. Comfortably Numb has always done this for me, along with a few others. Was wondering if you could add to my collection.

I'm open to all genres of music so let em fly.

My current chill out tune is King of Silence by Cibo Matto: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WRqGfxGXBw

Can only find a scratchy live vid on Youtube, hit up Spotify for the studio version, much smoother

FIrst choice --> Eyes of a stranger by the payolas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGrzZt4SCs0

Silent Lucidity by Queensryche ?
Marooned by Pink FLoyd ?
Us and Them by Pink Floyd is pretty good too
Waves by Guthrie Govan (albeit not really a slow song)
Afraid to shoot strangers by Iron Maiden

Radiohead's "How to Disappear Completely" is similarly haunting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAF8D0ugyVk

If I was still tripping I would totally lay down and listen to some classical but not everyone enjoys it (having always played music I love hearing stuff from great composers) :

Chopin : Nocturne in Eb Major http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvxS_...eature=related

I just told myself this is nothing like comfortably numb but it is trippy in its own way.

Oh and just have to post this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_hOR50u7ek

Done drifting away now

From the brothers' album, also like this one - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_03uXQiz6eY&NR=1
I used to like Jeff Wayne's War of The Worlds* album - and about any Pink Floyd album.
Also liked many of the other big bands at that time, like Cream, Judas Priest, America, etc.
However, tastes may differ.

If I want something more chilled at the moment, I'd listen to Miracles by Stone Sour http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OF4vLxFe9c8

I listen to quite a few of their (Stone Sour) songs when in chill kind of mood. Good stuff that Cory is.

Yeah I like pretty much the whole of the latest album, but that song's probably most 'chilled'.
