I searched the threads, but was unable to produce a topic based on this particular film, known as 'Water - The Great Mystery'. It has been making it's rounds at my local parish through word of mouth. Before I was able to take a look at it, it sounded a bit like a pseudo-science new age documentary I rented a while back called 'What the Bleep Do We Know'. Lots of new-age metaphysical mumbo jumbo mixed in with 'experts' and the typical homeopathic feel-good message. Entertaining, nonetheless.

Reservations aside, I gave the video a watch. Sure enough, it's the same sort of deal as the prior film, minus the entertaining acting...What concerned me a bit, and perhaps got my fellow parishioners into it, was Patriarch Kirill's appearance & support throughout. It's not my intention to get into some heated Ecumenism debate, or anything of the sort. My concern was with the fact that his sharing of legit Orthodox practices was so haphazardly intermingled with pseudo-science & new age homeopathy.

Have any of you been able to watch this? It's no doubt entertaining, but I leave it a bit baffled.
