Zap - I hope your girl is feeling better, poor thing. It's raining here. We went to a neighborhood party for a bit then I brought my younger one home. The older kids are out trick-or-treating being driven around in the back of a pick-up truck. I hate Halloween personally.

Thanks Sunshine- she puked again, I think she is empty now, in and out of the bath, she's just having a little 7up laying down again, she isn't to disappointed, we did the school halloween carnival on Fri. ( and she got to dress up) and went to another pumpkin patch on Sat. I don't mind Halloween , but I am in the sticks nobody knocking at my door.

Hahaha, We dont even have to worry about the lil leaches tonight. For some odd reason In this one horse town they celebrate Halloween the thursday before the 31st. And nobody can tell me why. Then to top it off, if ya wanted to hand out candy you have have sit out front of your house. I guess they dont let em knock on doors anymore.

When I was a kid, it was three days of candy rustling. I don't know if they still do it.

No shit. For a good Halloween scare, these two are off leash patrolling right now.

You had me cracking up JJ. I envisioned that pic of the guy eating cookies in his shower while holding onto his rifle. But alas I couldn't find the image to post here!!

I'm with you JJ GoldDot. Probably not for the same reason though. I'm not too enthusiastic about a national holiday celebrating consumption of sugar. And cementing it in peoples minds by making young kids show up at peoples doors where adults pay tribute to sugar by poisoning the kids with it. And most disconcerting of all, everybody is all so happy about it.

Sugar. Why not alcohol? At least you'd get a buzz. Maybe we wouldn't have such an epidemic of diabetes. For everyone telling me to eat less sugar, there are a dozen voices telling me to consume their delicious products that are loaded with sugar. I'm sure sugar sales spike in the week prior to Halloween. I feel fortunate I never had a sweet tooth. Maybe it's because my parents kept me home on Halloween till I was 12 or so. Nevertheless, I would speculate that getting rid of Halloween would result in a 50% improvement of the nation's health.
So, I'm with you JJ GolDdot

I wasn't going to give out candy again this year....but I caved

At 26 this is the first year I've ever given out candy...

I remember loving halloween as a child so I though why not.

All the kids that came to my place gave a nice THANK YOU!

Brings back memories of being happy innocent and not having a clue, kinda made me feel good seeing the happy little ones...
