Watching the Ashes?

The Aussies are really losing it - especially Ponting arguing with the umpire, he can expect a fine for that.

Aussies didn't even make 100 (98 all out) in their first innings and England now 262/3.

I watch what I can, difficult timing though.. doesn't start until 23:30 here. Managed until lunch the last two nights and missed all the fun both nights! [thumbdown]

I should probably record it, but the highlights are OK.. Hopefully this is where England wrap it up, but there's always a chance for Australia http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/tongue1.gifhttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/tongue1.gif

Five teams have been bowled out for less than 100 in a Test and gone on to win, it's true. But the last time was in 1907, and the first four all in the 19th century.

The Aussies need to win BOTH the remaining tests to take the ashes, if England win either they'll retain the Ashes. [thumbup]

Forgot, at stumps England were 444/5, a lead of 346...

Correction Gordo.

Australia only need to win one more test, they can afford to draw (or tie) the other. A tied series leaves England retaining the ashes.

Although a drawn test seems unlikely from here, we have had lot's of rain this summer.

cK, you're correct - to put it in a better way, England need only to win one of the last two tests to retain the Ashes http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/cool1.gif.
The Aussies could still win this one, but it's rather unlikely - perhaps a draw may be salvaged if they can stay in.

Yep, but really, unless it rains where stuffed http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/laugh1.gif

I could barely watch it through my tears...http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/cry1.gif
Really abysmal showing by the Australians.

Need to put in a decent effort in Sydney so we don't look so bad.
I must say though that the English team have been bowling quite well the whole series, we are sucking bad on the other hand.

Congrats to all you Poms BTW. :)
