USB Stick, stick in computer put stuff on unplug and put somewhere, plug back in when data needed again.

I think we're getting silly here, guys. The reason she put them on the laptop in the first place is to save having lots of little bits of paper and books and having them on there is more convenient.

lol... I think people are just going a little overboard.

As for Lord P's suggestion. First of all it's a laptop with 1 disk. Secondly RAID 1 is not considered a backup. If a file becomes corrupted, deleted or modified then you're screwed.

RAID 1 is mirroring afaik. So some kind of a backup at least. Although totally impractical in this situation.

Honestly there's nothing more easy to back stuff up on then a USB stick if it's something on the smaller scale of size, but even so you can get allot on them to if you wanted.

You can just put them anyway, leave one at a freinds as backup etc.
