This is just another step in the direction of safety rather than freedom...

The USA is becoming less free all the time...[thumbdown]

I wish stupidity hurt... well it does some when someone is stupid enough to text and drive it's their own f**king fault, its just too bad that often times they take innocent people with them[no]

I can understand the IDEA behind this... but what we need to start teaching and learning is just plain COMMON SENSE... it's just not so common anymore.

Plus what about passengers??? Now even if we aren't driving we still cant use our tech because we are in a vehicle??? Bullsh*t

don't forget if you are stuck on the side of the road... then what? are you SOL?

They simply need to make it a harder fine/punishment. here going 50km/h (i think its 50...) over the speed limit gets your car taken and license revoked. We all know speed kills with stupid drivers behind the wheel, same with drunks and cell phone users. Why not just take their vehicles, clearly they are unfit to drive anyways.

Damned idiots!
By all means, punish drivers that text, etc, but why stop other passengers in the vehicle from using a 'phone?
