AMC rules again!
I also like rubicon. Anyone else like it too?
I'm a sucker for zombie movies!
I'm surprisingly addicted to Rubicon. Although it is a bit tricky to follow and keep up. Good thing it's On Demand, I can just go back and watch the episode over as many times as I need!

man, I wiki'd it, saw that it revolved around that, and took a pass.
What, big brother contestants turning into zombies and being slaughtered isn't funny? :-(

I can't wait for this to come out, been reading the comic for a few months now after i heard about them. Sucks that they are still only on vol5 on the hardcover edition (12issues each) and can't wait for vol 6 to come out, just in time for the show to start. I hope they do more then just 6 episodes for this and they don't rush the story as that would just kill it for me.

i was no where near as impressed with episode 2 as I was the 1st. I have read that it does somewhat ebb and flow between action episodes and drama episodes, and last night was most certainly an action one. That, plus the addition of 6 new characters, plus the predicament they were in didn't really leave them a much room to maneuver like in Ep 1. The next couple of episodes are supposed to return to the premiers form... something I pray is true.

Don't forget there was cheesy lines of dialog and predictable plot occurances

Success!
AMC announced Monday it had picked up a second season of its zombie series "The Walking Dead" after 4.7 million of the 5.3 million who watched the premiere two Sundays ago stuck around to watch the unveiling of the second episode this past Sunday night.
I did my part.

Just been announced it's coming down here - unfortunately on a FTA channel, which means adverts, though!

Well the I75/85(The road Glenn was on) isn't the only road out of Atlanta. I'm sure Glenn knows where base camp is, and the others with Rick can tell him where to go. [yes]

Or he could just be running from the big city.

I saw the car with the hood up in the extended Ep3 preview, so I am guessing with his handheld radio, and the fact that he was the scavenge leader who had done that by himself without riling up the zombies before, he knew where to go.

The last part, or should I say the preview for Ep. 3, pissed me off. Cmon, the redneck has a brother who's going to be pissed off they left him there?

"We escaped!!! But we have to go back to save the redneck cause his brother is mad" [cursing]

I guess they do have to stretch out the plot as much as possible to fill in the weeks of the series.

Dead Set was awesome! I just caught it a few weeks ago on IFC. It was a totally different zombie storyline. I didn't like the ending though.

Really enjoying The Walking Dead. The storyline is good enough that I can overlook the crappy blood effects.

So has anyone seen this series yet? Is it any good? It premiers in the UK on FX on the 5th of November, and they are showing the director's cut of the first episode which comes in at 70 minutes rather than the usual 44, and without adverts!!

Also did any catch any of the zombie publicity stunts to promote it that took place in several cities, including London, today?

I watched an, ahem, advance of it (i didn't pirate it, so my conscience is clear) and it is wonderful. It is well acted, well directed, the cinematography is excellent. It is also surprisingly bloody and gory considering it is on tv. The only negative I can see so far is what looks like an unnecessary love triangle developing. Other than that, I was thoroughly impressed. It is refreshing to once again have zombies that aren't all top tier athletes that can run faster, jump higher and offer no hope of getting away. These are the good ol dumb zombies that overpower you with numbers.

Basically, if the trailer gave you happy pants, then you won't be disappointed
