What's the deal with getting a license for a .22 air rifle in UK? My Mum told me my dad's old one is up in the loft so thinking of getting into shooting it at a range - was ridiculously expensive my Dad doesn't **** around when he buys things so sure it's pretty good...

Any .22 air rifles under 12lf/lbs in power need no form of livense to buy, own or shoot. I think you just need to be over 18 to buy one.
