I'm only 26, so I don't feel far in enough to say. But thus far I feel I've gotten what I've invested.

I'm 26. This year I was diagnosed a type 2 diabetic, hypogonadism(t level was 200), and my wife left me after we've been together for 8 years. I'm broke, hate my job, and have no friends. The only upside is depression made it hard to eat, thus making dieting easy and I dropped about 60 pounds. Could be worse, but it could be a lot better. 43 credits until I get my BS in comp sci. At least I'm just fat and not disfigured, and I'm not unemployed. I'm hoping to not be a loser by the time I hit 30 and start freshwith a better job and a 6 pack to replace my keg.

cant complain here. I hate my job because I am out of town all the freakin time, but I have a good family, good wife, 6 week old son that is so far healthy as a horse. never dreamed growing up that by the time i was 30 I would be married, own a house and have 3 cars (4 if you count the broke down jetta in my basement, 5 if you count the broke down 67 mustang my dad traded me for an old pickup truck) I dont have a lot of money, but I have been on some decent vacations in the last 4 years, and manage to support my addiction to pc's and gaming fairly well. other than having type 1 diabetes for the last 11 years and an ulcer that has forced me to stop eating crazy hot food (thats what caused it apparently, damn habanero peppers) I am in good health. other than the job I would say life is good, and cant complain too much about the job right now since there are a lot of people I know without one.

he'll be reet, its only type 2 diabetes, which can be bad if left unchecked, luckily for him its not type 1,then he really has something to mope around about.

rainy, get your butt down the gym,get a personal trainer, explain what you have and he/she will design a program that will include a diatry and excersise program which will clear it all up.

do start popping pills, and ffs don't take those epilepsy drugs if you have the symptoms of numb/hot tingly feet.

as for HYPOGONADISM,well cant really help you with that, did a bit of research and it can be weight related like diabetes

Life has been pretty good to me. I don't think I've ever had too many bad times. I've had a good childhood and have seen and done things other children have not. My parents put me into a good private school in my final years and that honesty that is what got my foot into the door for a job, as the school got my first job (they just called me one day randomly) and since then been riding the wave of good fortune from that first job.
Things were turning a little bad the last couple of years as the old company management used to use and abuse us. However the company that bought us out is great and I'm getting my social life back + doing real IT work and things are just going well.

My health is tip top too. Going to the gym 4-5 days a week, everyone has noticed. I'm quite proud of my transformation. I'm pretty trim now and building up some nice muscles.

Yup. I haven't seen my sugar above 140ish, even after meals. I go in tomorrow to get an A1C done. My average last time was 111. I have a YMCA membership. I was going 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes weights and tried to squeeze in 30-45 cardio. I walk 1.5 miles every day over my lunch break at work. I'm going hiking this weekend. My doctor said testosterone should help with my problems. :P But not the fun get ripped quick and smother your children in a fit of rage kind.

Feels good, doesn't it? Exercise, and the self esteem boost from getting in shape, are quite nice.

That sucks balls. Not only can you no longer have yummy hotness, but it caused you pain in the process.
