Default Anyone know anything about pillows?
I'm looking at buying some pillows. However the size of the pillows I'm looking at is 73x48cm. Using a tape measure this seems much larger than my current pillows (which I thought were standard), and I'm worried about whether they will fit in my pillow cases. Doing some research on the net, it seems that 73x48cm is the standard size for a pillow.

I need a good night's sleep.

I might have known it would be useless asking here. I really should ask on Urban75, since they have a section which covers this sort of thing; but since it's a UK based forum they're probably all asleep!

If I had to guess, you're measuring your pillow stuffed and the measurements are for an unstuffed pillow.

please send paypal money to Dibrom@fantasticmail.com

Really they have a section about pillows? Seriously I would help you out if I could but I know nothing about pillow sizes. That's why it seems like such a bizarre question.

That''s what I thought as well, but why would they give measurements for an unstuffed pillow?

Well it's the same measurements for a stuffed pillow, the surface is just curved. Depending on how much it's stuffed the 2D plane would change, I don't see how else they'd give out measurements.

there's one question in life that I wish to have answered before I die.

and that's, at what point does a cushion become a pillow ?

that answer has always illuded me,in all my life.

the other question is why do I always get skidmarks, even though I wipe thoroughly...and why is it I only get them when I wear white under crackers...

Not exactly. They have a section for cooking, household stuff and things like that.

I can't compare my current pillow sizes to the new ones if I don't know their actual size when stuffed.

Pillows go on the bed, and are generally rectangular. Cushions go a chair and are generally square.

When you put one under your head. Much like a rock becomes a weapon once you strike someone with it.

Because you keep digging around in your bum during the day [yes]

Treat yourself to new bedsheets as well. I bet your douvet covers as stiff as a board anyway.
