Ive had a spacker at work once, who thought, it would be funny to change one of my registration letters with Electrical tape... luckily, I notice these things because I am like a hawk with my property, and if I hadn't I could have been pulled over for suspicion of bilking, and or driving to circumvent the ANPR system.. and that's 6 points and unlimited fine... It was revenge for him nicking all my food I'd left in the fridge at work the previous night and the fat ******* had scoffed the lot, I had to go without food for a 12 hour shift. [cursing] |

I did that to a mate, but stuck a piece of cardboard over his normal rear plate, and he drove 70 miles home with it on, It said "I hate Ni**ers", He told us later on facebook that he'd had tons of people driving past and hooting their horns at him, giving him the finger and everything, I finally told him cos he still hadn't realised it was on his car and parked in his driveway too. no excuses not even for a laugh [cursing] |

Kyros did you get the letter about the recall? I haven't taken mine in yet.
My car (same as yours) was dead over xmas when it snowed. I don't know if it was the cold or all the snow on the car making the alarm go off, but it was completely dead, nothing lit up on the dash. Hooked it up to my dads and the alarm came on and it didn't want to start, but eventually got kicking. |

Exact same thing happened to me after work once.
Turned out the battery was completely drained because the boot wasn't fully locked down and the boot light had been on. I was under the impression that if the immobilizer kicked in the starter motor still works, but you just won't be able to start it as there is no petrol flowing into the engine. |

That with the amp could be worth investigating, Kyros.
On the Stang, there is a known bug about the standard amp i.e. if you don't turn off the car stereo before you switch off the ignition, the amp doesn't actually get shut down properly and keeps sucking power from the battery. Leave it like that for a few days and it's dead. That, or the tracker (if you have one) could be sources of power drain. However, tracker should be minimal. Btw how old is the battery? |
