I've been a verizon customer for some time now, about 6 years. I got an email saying I had urgent documents that I needed to view on my verizon account. So I logged in several times...never found anything. Ended up going to a Verizon store because I kept getting these emails. The guy at the store tells me I can do an early upgrade and that was all it was about. So that was dumb but I shrugged it off and said thanks and left. Why not just say that in the email instead of saying "urgent documents need your attention."
Later in the week I was online looking at their phones, and decided on the HTC Incredible and ordered it. They had a special going with free over night shipping and said it would ship same day if ordered before noon. I ordered at 8am. Several days pass, and all I ever got was an order confirmation that said pending credit approval it would ship. No shipping info no phone. I emailed their sales support. A day passes and no response. So I decided to call them. I had a 20 minute phone call that during the call this happened: • She told me they didn't even have my order on file. • I provided her with my order number, and she still didn't find it. • They had me down as adding an extra line. (I never orderd one) • She finally found my order after about 8-10 minutes of waiting. • She then tells me the phone I ordered was on back order until the 20th of July, and I wouldn't have it until potentially the 25th. I clarified with the support woman that if I had never called I would never have been notified that I wouldn't be recieveing a phone until a month from when I ordered? She coinfirmed that I likely would not have recieved any communication about the back order. I checked their site and it said nothing at all about back order, and I know it didn't when I ordered. I don't care about having to wait for the phone. I just hate poor communication and not being told this before I placed my purchase and renewed my 2 year contract with them. With service like this I don't know if I want to. Also since they are backordered they must be getting more and more emails/calls like mine. Why not just alert the consumers en masse? Just seems stupid to me especially from a company that specializes in communication. ![]() Meaningless to many but I just wanted to rant about this. |

i think it may be more of a fluke.. i got a **** load of stuff from them when i was eligible to renew, but i figured i would. Incredible's are extremely popular, when their online store shows them in stock, it just hasnt caught up with orders. people setup for notifications when its available, then its a mad race.
I was going to order it online, and it was backordered, i called local verizon stores.. nada.. went to best buy prepared to buy a regular droid when they dropped to $139.. they had 2 Incredibles left! So i bought it on the spot, and i dont know of anyone else that has one (besides online people, nobody locally) |
