Default Apolyton US Election Coverage Thread
Other than the point of a dedicated thread, that's one stupid post.

Prop 19 in CA is really the only thing that matters. I expect it to fail 54-45.
But CA has already gone to pot?

Indiana is the first state to go to Republican - further proof that Hoosiers are the thickest people in America!

Feingold is probably the Democrat in the Senate with the biggest pair of brass ones. 90% of them (at least) aren't worth a fly's fart, but he's got guts.
And look where that got him.

Send in the clowns. Literally, have you guys seen the tea party candidates? A Pyrrhic victory for the Republicans.

Don't be so pessimistic; comedy is going to flower anew. It's almost a shame that Angle and O'Donnell lost.

Talk about turning back time...

In a dramatic return to the statehouse in California, Democrat Jerry Brown is projected to win the gubernatorial race over Republican Meg Whitman.

Whitman, former CEO of eBay, has spent a record $150 million in a fierce battle for the seat currently held by actor-turned-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger — in a race that appeared to be a toss-up on polling day. Brown, currently California’s attorney general, was California governor from 1975 to 1983. He was governor when I was in the circus at Travis. Pretty cool. I wonder if he still sees Linda Ronstadt?

Well, the Dems lost the House by bigger margins than in 1994, but unlike in 1994 keep the Senate. Going to be two hard years. I am glad though that Angle lost in Nevada. She is not qualified to be a US Senator, and thankfully the people of Nevada woke up to the fact.

He's in second. He'd probably win it in a sweep, if it wasn't for Mirkowsky.

Well I guess if the Republicans decide to try and pass the most radical liberal agenda in the history of the US, then you could be right. All they have to do though is create gridlock and show to America they are serious about decreasing the size of government and balancing the budget and they'll keep their momentum. You'd have to be really stupid to mess this up. People didn't even elect Republicans to do anything. All they want is for the Republicans to make it so everyone does nothing. If they can somehow get Obama to sign legislation for what they were elected to do, then great, but that's not going to happen. So they'll just keep throwing legislation at him and Obama will just keep vetoing it while the rest of America continues to get more and more pissed off and if the Republicans manage to not **** up, easy 2012 for them.
