I've always hated the boring look of google.com with just its crap logo slapped on and iGoogle is just a mess of crap themes and god awful 'gadgets.'

So I've converted to Bing.com and it's beautiful!
Try it out for yourself. It also knows that I'm in Japan so all my background images are random Japanese things - it's really nice.
Also - try searching for images ....
It's SO much better!

Yep, I did that more in response to Google's screw up of private data... and switched back when

a) I couldn't find anything
b) Bing signed me out every time I closed the browser (both Safari and Firefox on Mac)
c) I couldn't find anything

I reckon you'll last about a week...

I use both depending on what I want to search for. One thing's for sure though, I'm hearing about Bing alot in the mainstream lately. "Just Bing it" lol.

It's a great idea... except most people have LCDs... which run @ 100% backlight all the time. So it doesn't work.

Bing is FUGLY! The design itself is....OK....but the images they let you choose in the background just make it look like a 10 year old did it with crayola.

Plus, the results are not really very accurate.

I don't know about anyone else but I use search engines to search for stuff, not to be made to look at random pretty pictures or admire the flashy homepage.

The reason I like Google is exactly the reason why you seem to dislike them - It's a blank page with a text box, and it finds exactly what I'm looking for.

Bing is the biggest piece of crap.

Bing is only good for the cashback program. I got back $200 on an ebay purchase, and $100 on my new bed, along with a bunch of other purchases. That's the only time I EVER use it, and even then it's only AFTER I've found the item I want using froogle.
