we still wake up every morning amazed to be so happy together. .
I can see you two being together for quite a long time, even a lifetime maybe! [thumbup]

If a relationship is not right or once the novelty wears off, then you know that its not going to survive, but if your waking up next to the person you've fallen in love with and you sometimes feel like you have to pinch yourself awake, because being with that same person even 24/7 is something that you Love to have happening in your life, then you can be assured that even after 1.5 years, if its still like that, then you'll be together for quite some time.

My wife and I get the same feelings like that, quite often, 10 years together and 5 years married, we work together for 12 hours a day and see each other at home the rest of the time and we still sometimes talk on our days off and say stuff like, "I still think your outta my league" or "Pinch me, because I can't believe I'm with someone I love so much".

Its a great feeling!

So I know where your coming from.

You just Know "deep in your heart" when someone is right for you and that you have a long and happy future together!

Just Cherish every moment together, because Life is short and for me even 100 years Loving my wife is not long enough!

Ditto, it's been a while but then it does seem to be the season for quite a few onions to tie the knot.

Best wishes on your new life!

Definitely Ditto that

Default I'm getting married!
I'm so excited I feel like everyone needs to know. Even you guys. I can't believe I'm going to be a wife. Part of me feels like maybe I'm not "grown up" enough for it, but most of me feels like it's completely right and it's going to be perfect.

On top of that, I'm going to be an Air Force wife. How crazy! My life is going in a great direction and I'm so happy to finally have a future to look forward to.

She's back! WooWooWoo![thumbup]

Been wondering what had happened to you - seems to be a girl free board nowadays!

Getting married, huh, didn't know you were pregnant? (j/k)

Marrying a fly-boy - not sure about that - I've seen a couple of episides of the "Army Wives" (?) series, looks fair suspect!

Seriously, though, great that things are going so well for you, I trust your mother and the rest of the family are keeping well?

We've been together for almost a year and a half. Don't want to go into what people think about length of relationships and all that garbage. We were pretty much made for each other and are in a very happy and healthy relationship. Suffice to say it's pretty much disgusting how freakin happy we are together.

We both have awful jobs. He delivers pizza and I work at a game store. This career decision he's chosen is something we have talked about for a while now. It's going to be good for us and we look forward to having a stable future through the Air Force.

No need to get into any debates about those decisions. We're aware of the benefits and consequences that come with it.

Air Force is the best way to go if Family is also a priority!

I have the Air Force on the back burner for me and my family if life ever goes to hell for us.

He have any education so that after training he can get a higher rank? I have enough education that if I ever went in, after training I would become an E4 off the bat. My friend in the National Guard Army has taken 3 years to get to an E4!

Now if he hates it and wants out, "become" a Seventh Day Adventist (at least, sure other religions are like this) as it is a perfect excuse to not carry a weapon and not work on Saturday. He'll get a lot of crap, but should be discharged honorably. It is how my dad ended up getting out when he was converted.

Congradulations! I have been married for 9 months now and still same old same old really other than the baby. You two thinking of kids soon or is that still down the road?

My condolences...

don't want to scare you and he's most likely not like the married colleagues I work with but when on ops or on training exercise a lot of extra marital activities occur.

having said that its normally the WRAF's that commit adultery, but more often than not the male's who are married often feel obliged to commit it too

there's a few saying's too:

A: what happens on ops stays on ops.

G: Different country different rules.

B; 2 in the goo one in the poo

also watch out if your an on base wife too cos a lot of lonely serviceman's wives commit adultery and even have swingers parties (without their husbands) the military is rife with it.

your a nice girl and I wish you the very best but remember he will be away on ops for long periods of time especially if he goes to Qatar of his operational tour, the place is akin to a holiday camp, massive swimming pool, sauna's outdoor heated pools, lots of prostitutes off camp (asian) lots of fit (lonely) American Air force women (and I mean FIT) access to Alcohol

I really hope that your love for each other will be strong enough to overcome all of these temptations.

if he goes to Afghanistan well the same can still happen, but I'd be more worried about the daily Rocket Attacks and becoming a Widow before your first Anniversary [no]

I wouldn't worry about that my parents got engaged after 3 months and they are still together after 35 years. You have to wonder what my Grandparents must of thought about that.

congrats ditto![thumbup]

i must say it's kinda bizarre that even after she said she doesn't want advice or warnings about the air force everyone chimes in anyways the air force is a fine profession. hope you and your husband enjoy it.

Nah i don´t wanna be the one pissing on her parade, but i remember just like 2-3 years ago Ditto posting about how happy she was with her Ex "Dominik" (see i even remember the damn names because her "happiness" was litterly making me sick (especially the fact that every other post mentioned "Dominik", me and Dominik are going there, Dominik´s so cute, look at this pic of Dominik, omg Dominik can now use the toilet on his own, etc (honestly wtf) I remember her talking about marriage with him aswell, and now after being with this guy for just 1,5 years she´s ready to marry again.
I don´t think it´s a good idea, but again i´d like to stress that this is just my opinion.

Anyways over the years my thoughts on Ditto are kinda like this, She´s a girl that needs someone, she´s not really a stand up person but someone who kinda tends to throw herself into relationships and at people whilst walking around blue eyed, blinded from the reality around her.

My opinion on this whole getting marriage so early thing ?
Well i´ve seen it happen at-least 20x times with friends, old school pals, work colleges etc.
They find someone, on the first date they already tell the other "I love you" (honestly does saying i love you even have any meaning anymore ?) after 4-5 months they´re still in the whole being massivly in love scenario and at the end of the year i´ve got a invitation to the marriage in the mail.
2-3 Years later, roughly the half of them are divorced or living apart on trial.
So, who am i being the snail on the pile of sh!t, well i´m a forum friend, i´m just trying to say being married is nothing more than a contract, a piece of paper,..
You two in my opinion again (i can´t say this often enough) could still be together, live together and see how everything go´s and then after another year or two go all the way, after all what will it change ? Look at what happened to poor Britney, you don´t wanna end up shaving your head do you ? (lol wtf)

Meh just my 2 cents,..
