Maybe it's a write off, looks good for insurance reasons, and better yet, they can spy on their employees?
it prevents employee theft as well.

come on....seriously.... you think they spend millions on survellance as a write off? they use it because it lowers theft. fullstop.

I'll tell you right now full stop is a pipe dream. Employees maybe, but the people that come to steal don't really care.

Hell Walmart had a policy of not prosecuting any theft under $25

I don't mean totally prevent. clearly I mean "reduces" and that's a fact. it's also common sense.

In a better world maybe, but I'm not seeing it. [no]

In the end it's all the same. people steal as much as they ever did

why would they bother with survellence then? as a write-off? [rolleyes]

come on, seriously. it's preposterous to claim survellence systems don't reduce shoplifting.

look I'm just saying.. I know what you are saying and I'm not trying to stab you in the face and say you are flat out wrong. I would like to think and agree with you, but I just don't think it's so.

Anymore than banning guns takes the guns out of the hands of the criminals. that's all.

well think and answer my question then why would the vast majority of stores large and small (that are profit motivated) invest millions in surveillence systems?

is "write off" the best answer you can come up with?

Honestly that's the best I've got, but I do wonder..
I'm not saying I have the answer or that I am correct, just saying.

maybe they get a dinner at happy steak?

We have those sensors at the door as well. they go off like crazy. Nobody pays no mind.

I said it like that to sound unedumacated
