So where in the world are you, as that video is not accessible in Finland?

Anyway what did you try to link?
To our fellow FM'ers in the "free-world".

30 Seconds to Mars - Kings and Queens

How is that less generic? I'm not saying it's good, but it's interchangeable. Captain is an FM homeboy, and I respect that he plays, enjoys it, and has a following. The music is not my thing though.

That is not what I consider generic [no]

I've listened, and I heard things like that remind me of those bands, and 13.5 million similar bands. I'm not trying to **** on a thread, I'm just pointing out that they have a familiar sound.

I said that 30 seconds to mars represents the current "generic rock".

And IMHO Poets of the Fall is 1000 times better than i.e 30 Seconds to Mars.

Breaking Benjamin is good!
Saliva is good!

But I wouldn't call them similar though. Or even sounding the same.

No worries. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

Their lyrics are far from generic... The name of the band suits them really well. The songs are like poetry [yes]
Do not like the half-whiny,nasally singing voice at all.

Er,still sounds pretty generic, and I don't see much poetry to the lyrics myself, they sound pretty generic too. To each their own I suppose.

Ohh yes... Swallow the Sun is one of the best

I just have to spam this link again (99% clean vocals if you don't like the growls)
Swallow The Sun - New Moon

New Moon album was produced by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Amon Amarth, Katatonia etc...)

Nah,still not my kind of music, but don't let that stop you from enjoying it.

I'm sure some of the things I like many here wouldn't even recognize as music so.

This thread just made me purchase the entire Poets of the Fall Discography [thumbup].

Cheers, excellent background music whilst driving / programming or just chilling.

Didnt they have a track on Max Payne 2?

Yes like THE_FRUITY_ONE said earlier in this thread. Late Goodbye was in Max Payne 2. (Well actually he said Last Goodbye, but anyway )

Oh,wow, all kinds of things really...I'm not attached to any specific genre or anything, some things just either move me or don't.

Anything from this:

To this:

To this:

And pretty much anything in between as long as it suits me.
