My sister is going on her fourth Egypt holiday this year and she says the airlines are all the same. Even though it's 5 hours 30 mins flight it's not classed as long-haul so you get shitty 737's etc that have no legroom whoever you fly with.
The hotel they are staying at this year looks damn cool though! http://www.firstchoice.co.uk/holiday...ua-park-hotel/ |

Does it matter seeing as you haven't flown for 20 years? You have nothing to compare it to. My sister is going on her fourth Egypt holiday this year and she says the airlines are all the same. Even though it's 5 hours 30 mins flight it's not classed as long-haul so you get shitty 737's etc that have no legroom whoever you fly with. The hotels I'd be staying at are the Safir Cairo and the Iberotel Cairo and the rest of the holiday is spent on a cruise down the Nile. |

From what I've heard not having much leg room is par for the course with flying anywhere these days. |

says they use A330-200`s for the route , with resonable legroom in economy , IFE is hit and miss (working and choice) |

Well, first of all dont believe any horror stories about their plane safety, anything that has a landing permit within the EU has to meet the same safety standards.
I have used Egypt Air two times so far, and both trips werent a pleasent experience, but nothing to make a fuss about either. Very little leg room, one time my seat sqeeked, which can wear you down on a 4+ hour fight. The stewardesses werent very beautyful. Other than that everything was average. |

Whether a company offers good or bad service is universal regardless of the particular business they are in. |

I've flied with Egypt air a couple of times and it's always been ok.
Back mid 90s there were only dudes working in the planes, as other airlines have primarily women as airhostesses. Also, no booze due to Islam being their primary religion. But they didn't mind bringing us loads of sodas that we mixed ourselves with taxfree booze bought from the airport ![]() |
