Default Wait... what?
Quick recount of the conversation I just had:

C: "Hi, you removed some viruses from my PC last week, it's been ok but now internet explorer won't work and it's popping up all sorts of security warnings."

Me: "OK, sounds like you've gotten re-infected."

C: "You cleaned it tho?"

Me: "Yes, however, if you then immediately go back on the same sites you got infected from, there's very little I can do to stop you getting re-infected."

C: "Well I haven't been to those sites!"

Me: "I see..."

C: "Besides, I don't even know what sites I got infected from in the first place!"

I'm suprised you got that far. Here, we just get accused of not doing our job properly in the first place.

"well if its the same virus as before, clearly you never removed it properly in the first place"

Yeah, I know that one. The boss refunded a guy on Monday who'd had a virus removed 3 months ago and claimed we'd not removed it at all.

"It took you 3 months to notice then?" didn't help the situation

Yeah, well that's not bad.

When I worked on IT department on city (/town) of Iisalmi our boss had dancing stripper on his desktop... [rofl]

Then he was like "Ummm... I don't know how it got here but could you remove it."

[rolleyes]

(Needless to say but he wasn't that good with modern windows stuff but with old stuff he was quite the wizard)

LOL, For a minute there I had this image of your boss with a stripper dancing on his desk. That would be kind of cool but it made his comment sound a bit surreal.
