I heard those things can be mean, but good god. This damn killer came at me hissing and flapping and tried to peck me. I couldnt go anywhere as I was up by against a wall. Pretty scary for a bird.[thumbdown] |

Just quickly grab their neck if they attack, and straddle around/squat/rugby tackle behind them to avoid the flapping wings, that shuts them up pretty quickly also and if done right doesn't hurt them...
(Well, that's what I did once after being attacked by a random swan on a canal about 5 years ago... ![]() Their peck can be painful, but tbh it's more 'bark' than 'bite' in general with geese/swans etc, just stand your ground/don't show any fear and they are easy enough to deal with. |

when i was around 5 or so a stupid goose stole my churro right out of my hand at the san diego zoo. i raged so hard.
