Default How do you think the Toyota safety issues affect used car prices?
Toyotas have always enjoyed a high premium over used American cars. Obviously the reason for that is their reliability so I was wondering if the recent recall issues will do anything to dent that and bring down their used valued.

The media is having a hay-day over this. In a few months, nobody will even remember this.

Toyota is the new swine flu to the media.

Can't really see why it would.

They found a possible problem, they fixed possible problem. Now there is no possible problem. Business as usual.

There are alot more toyotas at the auctions than a few months ago, pricing is the same for now, simply because NADA and KBB havent reduced yet, they will at the end of this month for sure.
