This movie has been burning up the box office, surpassing The Dark Knights 2nd, 3rd,4th, and 5th weeks total gross. And its nearly to eclipse The Dark Knights record of 533 million and maybe only a few days. Now i ask u all, do you think it has what it takes to sink the Titanic? (600 million domestic).

I have a strange feeling the Dark Knight only did well cause of the death of Heath Ledgers. I mean I've seen the movie more then once and it was OK, but it wasn't brilliant by any means. Heath Ledgers acting as the Joker was kinda cool and well played out, but there just was something wrong with the movie that doesn't really make it worth watching a second time.

Titanic was awesome when I was like 8 years old watching it for the first time. Seen it MANY times in my life, still today I think it was a good film. Avatar is the same, I really liked and and wouldn't mind seeing it again.

imo, if a movie is good enough to want to watch a second time then it must be pretty darn good.

I'd be willing to bet a fair amount of money that it will. It's only been out for a month. It will easily rake in $100m more. I'm betting on $2.25B WW gross.

The numbers do matter, but when you account for inflation Titanic is still way beyond Avatar. Ticket prices in 1998 were much lower, so I'm more curious to see a comparison of tickets sold.

You need to watch it on a big HDTV in blu-ray with a heavy-duty surround sound system. Other than IMAX (which it isn't on now) that's the only way to really enjoy it IMO. It looks / sounds crap on anything else.
