Itouch overclock?
So I got a third gen itouch. Looking on wiki the CPU is a 833mhz chip but is currently limited to 600mhz. Is there a way or program that I can get to overclock it? I don't mind the reduction in battery life. Just that even at 600mhz, the lag is still bad and annoying. I feel sry for those on the first gen running 400mhz.
My friend has the gen 2 which runs at 533mhz ona 620mhz chip. Is there a way that he can overclock? |
I am guessig you mean an Ipod touch (never seen it called an itouch). First question - is it an 8GB or the 32 & 64GB? If it is an 8GB, it is NOT the faster hardware; it is only a 2nd Gen with old jailbreakable code fixed.
As for an overclock, I am note too sure. best place to check will be http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/ |

That is dissapointing. Are you sure? Even the 3g iPod? I have the 3g 8gb model. My only complaint so
far with this is it is a bit slugglish. I wonder if the larger models have that fixed. Twice the ram, 77mhz extra and a new core. |
