When I got my first car it was a peguot 309, F (uk)reg, I was 17 and well happy with it.

Anyway, second day I had it, driving home from my mates house about 11:30, pulled over and the car and I was searched for drugs.....

They took my details and went.

2 days later, driving home this time about 5pm from work. The cop car follows me all the way home and pulls me over at the top of my street. Again, searches the car for drugs, I ask why this keeps happening as this is the second time and the police dude gets all pushes and asks me "why do I have something to hide". Being young I just take it.

The next day, Im driving from town with my girlfriend and gets STOPPED AGAIN. So I just stop driving afraid I will get pulled over.

My gf (now fiancee) calls me late one night, telling me while she has gone out with some friends, one of her mates started to chat up a bloke now the lads are getting a bit too much and 2 keep following her about and making her feel very uncomfortable and she hasn't got the money for a taxi so can I come and get her. I grab my coat and drive to town, enroute I GET PULLED AGAIN. Obviously I have enough of this by now and have a paddy about it. I tell the officer this keeps happening to me, and that I am trying to get to town as my gf is having some issues with some blokes who wont leave her alone so I am driving to town to bring her home has she is worried,.

Think they care? No, they would much rather keep me 15minutes at the side of the road while he mutters down his walkie talkie thing. 40 muinutes later....I ask them if they wont allow me to go, can they send a car to the pub where she is at to make sure she is ok (Didnt have mobile back in them days) but they just ignored my requests. In the end, I tell them I have to make sure my gf is ok, and will walk there they can have the ****ing car to which point, they arrest me for causing trouble and keep me in the station till my parents turn up and they go ballistic at the officers.. Luckily they allowed me to call my mum, and my dad had to find my gf.

Obviously nothing came about either with me or my gf who was ok, but we was told the car was owned by a known drug dealer and that "eventually" the would come off the "pull over and check" list.

I did get caution for saying to a police officer "If my gf gets raped, im going to find your f***ing wife and return the favour you big nosed c**t" tho

The fog line is the line painted on the right side of the road to stop people driving off the road in fog when there's no curb or other obvious edge to the driving surface
Ahh. I had heard that you couldn't be pulled over for crossing this line, only the center line. Maybe it's different in some states though.

So I was leaving a bar with my wife and her friend. I was the DD, so I was 100% sober. This car starts following me, and I'm thinking "this is totally a cop" so I'm driving flawlessly, cruise control locked right under the speed limit, dead center of the road. Didn't even cross the center line around tight curves.

Follows me for 5 minutes and then he pulls me over. I'm thinking "he obviously just wants to check if I'm drunk". Now here's the part where I get pissed. Since I guess he can't just pull me over to ask if I'm drunk he has to lie to me. He says "I saw you cross the fog line" and all 3 of us just go dead silent, because my driving was flawless. I knew it was a cop, and I made 100% sure not to even touch the line.

So here I am, pulled over for a bullshit reason, window down, in freezing cold weather, with the car off so my seat warmers turn off. I have to start freezing my ass off and waste my time while some cop who just accused me of a bunch of bullshit runs my info? This is why I hate cops.

Had he just said "I just wanted to see if you were sober" took 20 seconds of my time, and let me on my way I'd be OK with it. But no, he has to make up some bullshit to justify his pulling me over and then run my info. So far every cop I've ever run into has pissed me off. I got a ticket for speeding when I wasn't, pulled over and BS'd to just to check if I was sober, and there was a cop present at my hit and run who couldn't have given a **** less and went back to his breakfast.

And to top it all off as I'm writing this the darth vader chick at work is breathing so hard I can't hear myself think. If you get so winded that you're panting loud enough to be heard over the general noise of a call center just by sitting in a chair EAT FEWER DONUTS FATTY. And I've had a headache since Friday night that just won't go away. Man I'm in a bad mood.
[rofl][rofl][rofl] I love how this story transitions into a rant about Darth Fatty....lmao

My friend got a reckless driving ticket for crossing the fog line, he only crossed it once and had perfect driving otherwise. But as soon as he touched the line bam, on come the lights and sirens. This was at 2:30PM in broad day light. Took it to court and the judge threw it out. But apparently it is a valid ticket here in TN.

The worst part is that the cop doesn't even have to show up. He can waste your time knowing it's a completely BS ticket and nothing happens to him when he doesn't show.

Well, if he doesn't show it's automatically thrown out. Also, a Judge or Magistrate isn't going to let that slide. Sure, nothing on the books will happen to the Officer, but something does happen. Officers don't want to be on the bad side of a Judge just as much as a normal civilian.

You can usually apply for costs - don't forget to check if this ever happens to you!
