What's the problem with the auto? It's a grand tourer. IMO an auto suits them better.

no real Issue with an Auto, but cars at that age begin to exhibit Auto gearbox problems.

Plus I prefer Manuals

Oh right, I don't really know anything about car mechanicals inner workings. I hate having a manual. My commute is city centre / town driving. I'm getting an automatic in June.

Odd, I was just like an hour ago remarking to one of my friends that I would love to get my hands on an 850ci. I say BMW needs to reintroduce the luxury sport coupe.

I don't think you'll find one of them anytime soon.

Man I couldn't imagine driving an auto. Takes almost all fun outta driving I think.

Depends on the kind of driving you are doing! You try going through Manchester city centre twice a day and see if you want a manual.

As what the moose said some cars are cruisers and automatic transmission is perfectly admissible for the type.

but If I had a 4.4ltr car I'd rather have a manual because auto's aren't the best for economical driving but lol neither is driving a 4+ltr car

that being said I still like driving manuals, it adds to the driving experience, but when your caught up in traffic all the cog swapping can get a little tiresome [yes]

Yeah I love shifting four billion times while I'm sitting in rush hour traffic.

Yeah right. Auto = better

Surprised you can reach a gear stick, let alone the pedals.

Gotta disagree with you guys, I've sat in some serious traffic and I wouldn't trade my manual for an auto ever.

Plus it's definitely worth it on windy open roads, manuals really add to the fun.

Awesome car but sadly when you own one you HAVE to be a pimp or a drug dealer (or both tbh).

It's not the same thing. 6 series coincide with the 5 series cars. They need to make a large coupe and put the V12, hence an 860. That would kill, and be more of a direct competitor to the Merc SL cars.

I've sat through Atlanta traffic and Baltimore traffic for 6 years now. I'd still rather cut my penis off than drive an automatic.

yeah, there arent many of those here in australia but i know where one parks sometimes near here.

really great looking car.

its just too old and expensive to consider really wanting one. And auto sucks, unless your in a serious luxury machine. definitely prefer manual even in traffic. havent tried a dsg type car yet though, but i think i would really like it.
