I was already planning on buying a new xbox and receiver, just so happened I had the cash on Friday(normal Friday here in Canada, but Best Buy was still having a great sale) so I got my Xbox for $149.99 with Fable II for free, and my Receiver happened to be $30 off that day as well(Pioneer 819-HK)
Honestly I wish I'd had more money though, they had this 40" or 42" I forget Samsung Plasma TV for $749 and I was watching the demo model and it looked DAMN good, 2 000 000:1 "Mega Dynamic" Contrast ratio. Still, compared to my old Sharp 32" LCD in my room the picture looked freaking amazing.....I should of bought it instead of the other stuff, I had just enough too! But I'd of had like $2 left for the next two weeks ![]() |

Lots of the deals were not that enticing and Amazon and other e-tailers were actually raising prices slightly hoping to get people to panic buy simply because of the day. Also, a lot of stores would advertise good deals on some larger products but have very low stock of them so they sell out quickly but it brings lots of frantic shoppers into their stores.
My Christmas shopping consists of Amazon wish lists that I apply my free shipping and don't pay any tax. ![]() I got two of the $198 laptops, I asked my girlfriend if she wanted to go over after dinner, so we did. Got there at 11, stayed till 5, first two in line for it. Walked out the door at 5:10 with two laptops. Sold one to her dad to give to her mom for Christmas, sold the laptop I just purchased three weeks ago today too. So now I am typing on a $198 laptop, with HD 3200 integrated... far better than the 4500M in the other one I just got. Going to order 2GB more, and a dual core Turion online... all said and done I will have less than $300 in for a pretty damn good laptop! |

Well, I just got back from Walmart, tried to get my girlfriend this $198 eMachines laptop (I know it's not amazing, but it's already with Win7 and it's good enough for her facebook), stood in line from 2 AM till 4 AM, then they said they only got 14 laptops total, which is ridiculous, and obviously I didn't get one.
Ran to the next line, which was for a $290 HP laptop, but that was already gone... lol. But, I did manage to grab an WD Passport Essential, 320GB 2.5" for $49 which was pretty nice, and some 7 dvd movies for around $20. Not much luck for me on my first Black Friday... How about you guys, any luck? ![]() |

I didn't see any good deals that caught my interest, except a pre-thanksgiving deal at newegg on an asus wireless router with a built in print server. I really need to get my printer back on the network, and my wife has been complaining that she keeps losing her internet connection on her laptop... so I figured a new wireless router would be a good investment.

Yup I did. Got the 42 in Hitachi LCD for $598 that Sams club was advertising, and was pleasantly surprised that it was tax free because it's an energy star item. And I also was able to snag one of the PS3 bundles from bestbuy for only $170 dollars due to a coupon error. Woot! So i was pretty successful I think. Now its off to bed!
