Default Anyone made a Black Friday shopping spree?
Well, I just got back from Walmart, tried to get my girlfriend this $198 eMachines laptop (I know it's not amazing, but it's already with Win7 and it's good enough for her facebook), stood in line from 2 AM till 4 AM, then they said they only got 14 laptops total, which is ridiculous, and obviously I didn't get one.
Ran to the next line, which was for a $290 HP laptop, but that was already gone... lol.

But, I did manage to grab an WD Passport Essential, 320GB 2.5" for $49 which was pretty nice, and some 7 dvd movies for around $20.

Not much luck for me on my first Black Friday...

How about you guys, any luck?

Neither do we; I think it's an American thing.

I went to staples and was able to get the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard for 30 bucks and went to express and bought some clothing. Also bought two 1TB Western Digital Green drives for $60 each from amazon last night. I want to use them in the nas I plan on building.

Well it is an after Thanksgiving sale and, as far as I know, America is the only country with a Thanksgiving tradition ... I wonder how the Native population view it?

We celebrate Thanksgiving too, but we did back in October.

I didn't see any good deals that caught my interest, except a pre-thanksgiving deal at newegg on an asus wireless router with a built in print server. I really need to get my printer back on the network, and my wife has been complaining that she keeps losing her internet connection on her laptop... so I figured a new wireless router would be a good investment.

Yup I did. Got the 42 in Hitachi LCD for $598 that Sams club was advertising, and was pleasantly surprised that it was tax free because it's an energy star item. And I also was able to snag one of the PS3 bundles from bestbuy for only $170 dollars due to a coupon error. Woot! So i was pretty successful I think. Now its off to bed!

I'm just watching the steam deals. Didn't see anything this year I wanted to get up super early for.

I'm surprised they haven't changed the name of this shopping holiday.

No. I'm not going to get up early to go shopping and wait in line.

I know, you'd figure the NAACP would hate the name, but it is named for stores going in the "black" (as opposed to the red.)
