Default Texan drives $1 million sports car into marshes
Look at the picture.

The rear wing does not fully extend like that in normal mode (not top speed mode where it stays down) until you do at least 137mph.

I'm calling bullshit on the distractions and saying it was just a bad driver [surrender]

Edit:
Hmm, was just thinking that the wing also comes out to act as an air brake so maybe he was slowing down. Although in Air Brake mode the wing should have an almost vertical angle to it and not be flat. I still think he was speeding!

When the car reaches 220 km/h, hydraulics lower the car until it has a ground clearance of about 9 cm. At the same time, the wing and spoiler deploy.
definately doing more than 137mph.

definately doing more than 137mph.
It's impossible to say. If it was functioning properly it should have gone back to resting position when he stopped in the water. It's may have shorted out and raised, or was acting as the airbrake and got stuck going down, or he could have been doing 150mph. Probably the latter if he had any sense, no point owning it and driving like Miss Daisy [yes]

He's a liar! Some guys were filming him - after all, how often do you see a Veyron on the roads - and looks like he just turned into the water! I sure don't see any sign of a bird!
Warning, may be naughty words used!

It looked very odd in the video, I can belive it if he said he was bending over to pick up the mobile. Either that or it's an insurance scam.

Ok so I was wrong about the speeding!

How bad a driver do you have to be to not be able to keep the car straight at that low speed and hold a phone [rofl] What an idiot!

If it is some so called celebrity, nice to be caught out lying about the pellican [thumbup]

I saw a black Lamborghinni today. Looked it up on ebay and seen it was worth $485,000. More then a house. Was driving on a highway on opposite side of me going in opposite direction. Was in a 60km/h speed camera zone. It roared it's engine and it kinda sounded like a V8 but with more power. Don't know if he realized if there was a speed camera there though[rofl]. I didn't see it go off so he might of been out of the capture zone.

Bloody awesome though, but what it was doing in such a poor neighborhood I have no idea[no]. Maybe making it's way from Newcastle city to Sydney.

Are you sure that's the same one? In the video it has a black rear end, and in the picture it looks to be all silver, Of course, it could all be the lighting.

It's the same one. How many Veyron's have driven off the road into the ocean in Corpus Christie?

Hahahaha yea he would espe.

Quite a shame though, the car is forever tainted for that owner. But if the guy has a veyron I'm sure he has 10 other exotics that will tide him over for the time being.

hmmm, anyone else notice that the owner of the car is also the owner of an Exotic Car restoration company? I saw no pelicans, and absolutely no reason for him to veer off the road, and it didn't seem as if he slowed down any with that splash. Just saying, it seems suspicious. How convenient that a guy who owns an exotic restoration company would need to restore the most expensive exotic that exists. Will be a great advertisement in the front of his shop.

"Yep, this beauty was in 4 feet of stagnant marsh water... but thanks to my company, it is not as good as new!"
