Phone the branch manager and ask why you had to purchase one of their products from a competitor! Most will take this sort of thing very seriously - especially if you give the impression that others may also be getting the same runaround and going to the opposition. |

Let's narrate the story from her point of view....just for fun...
8am, I get up and wash my hair, have a doughnut and head off to my job. Get in and find a letter from corporate telling me not to sell droid phones to anyone apart from new customers for legal reasons. Great, the usual detailed explanation! 9.30, some jerk comes in and starts trying to embarrass me in front of other customers because I don't have much information about why I can't sell him the phone he wants. I get the impression he thinks I made the policy personally..... Dude, she was probably looking flustered because you were asking her a reasonable question that she couldn't answer. It doesn't sound like you can tell if someone's lying or not at all. It just sounds like you like to embarrass people who can't help you lol. |

Verizon employees real people? Are you insane? Anyone who believes that store managers are privvy to corporate policy specification is very naive though. If people have a problem with a company they shouldn't blame someone who can't control it. You're just making their day **** for no reason. Many, many moons ago I worked in retail on a Saturday and I still hate the general public because of it. |

I actually know people who work at Verizon Stores and they would never be told to lie to people . Only 2% of people who apply at Verizon get accepted. They have very strict hiring requirements. They are a great company to work for and very strict as in you screw up once and your fired. They also own everything in their networks and are not in dept like lots of other companies. Anyway I would probably go back and ask the store manager why you were allowed to buy it from another location just to clear it up once and for all. |

Lets be honest what company doesn't do this? And they would never screw my paycheck taxes up 5 different times over a 2 year period, and I wouldn't end up with $175 in IRS penalties because I overlooked their mistake once or twice. Things like that.. they just don't happen. I know this because they advertise themselves as being honest and reliable... and if they say it... it must be true. |

*Unnamed company here* is honest! They pride themselves on honesty and integrity. We have all those wonderful core values we adhere to. I would never get overbilled (and get an overdraft fee) and then be told to piss off and that I wasn't getting the overbilled portion back... I mean... that would totally never happen with this company. Never. I'm not still upset about it or anything. |
