I have never bought anything electronic from Aldi that has not broken down in the first year. But maybe that's just my bad luck.

On the other side, I've never bought anything electrical from Aldi that's broken down ever!

(And yes I've actually bought electricals from there http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/tongue1.gif, my 17" tft for £110 4 years ago is still doing me nicely as my primary screen [thumbup])

The Aldi's over here in the states.....or at least here in Baltimore only have groceries. Very well priced groceries i might add http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/smile1.gif

Well it's got "Huge memory" so it must be good. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/smile1.gif

I don't really know UK prices anymore but it comes with Home premium 32 bit and 64 bit in the box though with free upgrade to Windows 7. That's pretty cool.

Assuming you already have an OS...

If not then adding an extra £45 on for windows 7 and you still have a much better pc.

I'm sold on the:

Impressive processor
Brilliant graphics
and
Huge memory!

I'll take 20.

I'm with this man.

Especially since Windows Vista, building and installing your own pc couldn't be easier.

You can pick your own case (stylish if you want!), customize it just the way you like, what's there not to like? You'll probably spend an hour (or two) removing the bloatware from the Aldi pc, why not spend that time on building your own [thumbup]

P.s. don't forget the GT220 is total rubbish when you want to game on it. Think about getting an ati 4850, 4870 or even a 5850 for example.

I got my first ever pc combo from ALDI back in '97! [thumbup] After comparing specs and prices for weeks the best specced for the price was a Medion pc. The monitor went blurry about 6 months into using it and they just came and swapped it no prob. The monitor they swapped it for was still going strong until last year when my friend got rid of it for an lcd. [thumbup]

It usually is very hard to price-match such basic prebuild systems when you build them yourself.

Yeah the demand and supply on econo boxes drives the price down to nothing.
