Can someone from the States help me out,.. Recipeīs + Google = crap
Iīm looking for a recipe for a Hot sauce, not a sauce for a meal, but something that can be bottled, you know like meh Tabasco or Blairīs sauces.
What iīm looking for is a recipe using the main Ingredients: Habaneros and Pineapples. (If existent) Google is just spitting up crap for me. |
Habanero Hot Sauce Recipe... 4-5 fresh orange habanero peppers finely chopped (with seeds)
2 cups white vinegar 6-7 red jalapeno finely chopped (with seeds) 2 cloves garlic chopped 1/4 Tsp. ground oregano 1/4 Tsp. ground cumin 1/2 Tsp. onion powder Salt to taste Freshly-ground black pepper to taste 1/2 Tsp. mustard powder Put all of the ingredients in a blender on high, blend until smooth. Add the sauce to a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for approximately 15 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add to a jar and refrigerate. The longer it is stored the more pungent the sauce becomes. Try your own variations and Enjoy! Taken from here http://www.sweatnspice.com/recipes/H...uce_Recipe.php |
You could try allrecipes.com. It'll even convert all measurements to metric for you. I've never made any of the hot sauces on there but I have cooked a lot of other stuff from there and the recipes are pretty damn good if you look through and see which one suits.

Thanks Maxx,
Iīll try that one !! @ all2humanuk, thanks for the tip ! Iīll have a look For some strange reason my Google is barely showing up any US urlīs anymore (and i didnīt do anything http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo.../confused1.gif ) |
yeah, just use maxxvert's habenero recipe and add some pinneapple. I bet it would turn out nicely. the pinneapple's will give it a little sweetness, but it will be hard for them not to get drown out by the habenero's heat.

i did, just added a can of pineapples and left the cumin away.
tbh itīs rather nice I donīt really pick up the heat like "normal" people anymore (years and years of brutal training http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/wink1.gif ) A nice sweet sauce, really good for grilling Bratwurstīs http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/cool1.gif |
