Just come back from watching it with my flatmate. We both agreed it was 7/10, my mate thought it was too long. I felt the editing was below par, and some of the stuff did not make sense!
SPOILER*** One minute they were deciding how to get Optimus to Egypt because of the government guy, the next they were on their way! Seems like they missed out how they got around this, prob due to time constraints? Secondly, the mum and dad getting brought to Egypt for no reason? They were not used as bate, it just seemed pointless! Oh and how long did it take him to make the last 2 miles to Optimus? Freaking ages! SPOILER END*** The cartoon movie was way better than both the live films imo. I would have much prefferred it had a back story on Cybertron... |
I have arranged for me and 13 others to see it this Sunday night at IMAX. While I'm not a huge fan of the first, the fact that it's the 2nd film to use the IMAX screen fully, I'm all in for that. Also the IMAX version has extra scenes that are not in the normal theatrical release. So the movie is slightly longer by a few minutes.
Also on a 50ft high IMAX screen the robots are technically 100% scale according to the film makers. So we are all looking forward to some big screen action. [thumbup] |
I've said this before and I'll say it again, some people are WAAAAY too picky and critical about films.
A film is meant to entertain and I think it did it very well. I loved the film, so much that it was definitely a film I would watch again and worth every penny I spent on the ticket. And the twins? I thought they were funny but what does that mean to you lot? Probably I'm a guy with terrible sense of humour. |
Man.. you people who didn't like it are flipping flat out nuts. That was far and away better than the first one (and I loved the first one). Better story, better action, more robots.. what the hell more do you want?!?!
I had my butt parked in the theater 7 hours early, and I do not regret one moment of it. The movie was everything I was expecting, and damn... [thumbup] |

I loved the whole Transformers trade and tbfh, I also enjoyed both movies. |
I went in expecting:
-Huge robots knocking crap over -Megan Fox -Gratuitous explosions -Lots of Military hardware -Minimal plot That's exactly what I got; 2.5 hours of testosterone-filled cinema. I'd say 8/10 in my book. Well worth the price of admission. |

Just returned from the cinema, great movie, loved every second of it! [thumbup]
And cudos to Michael Bay for NOT constructing a stupid cliffhanger like all the other trilogies have them. Waiting for the next movie is alot easier now. Will watch it again on Saturday. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/cool1.gif |
