Me the wife and the mother and law saw it last night.
This is the first movie Ive seen that I honestly cant give an overall consensus for. It was like it was two movies that they crammed into one movie. OR it was like one movie that they stretched out too long. Also there were brilliant spots of humour, acting and action. But there were downright stupid parts that even kids and adults alike remained silent during. It was as if they simply didnt edit the movie at all. I really got annoyed with the countless scenes of slowmotion Shia Lebouf and Megan fox running at the camera. I think I counted about 10 scenes that looked exactly the same. But then they would have several scenes that were incredible and blew my mind..... Im still confused lol. Pros: - Explains alot more about where Decepticons and Autobots came from, including some exciting info about Optimus Prime. -Some of the Humour is downright belly busting, tear bringing laughter. -Some of the battle scenes actually pull an emotional response and are downright epic. -Some of the military hardware is quite simply incredible, even if it doesnt exist. Cons: -While explaining alot, its so fast paced that you wish you had a rewind button, but even moreso, wished the producer would slow down on the speed and crack. I felt my nose bleeding a couple of times from information overload followed by confusion when they all of a sudden STOPPED explaining without finishing.... -The rest of the humour quite simply wasnt tastefull, got no response from the audience and looked like it was "stuffed in" for the teenage/skeptical audience. -The rest of the battle scenes were incredibly difficult to see and sometimes I confused robots. At one point of the movie I had no idea that Megatron was even there, unill the camera panned out and OMG, the last 10 minutes of battle was megatron....wtf...lame. -Somtimes the humans just looked like decorations.....why were they there lol?? One last thought- I will have to wait untill this is out on bluray and Ill try to watch this in another theater, but good lord the quality of the film was awfull. There were lines through the screen at times, there wasnt enough definition on the robots, when the camera panned all I saw was multi-color blur. I never saw any of that watching the first one on HDDVD. |

wow... 4/10 ... not great at all .. way worse than the first
huge negatives for me: - the mother scene with the pot brownies (why was this not cut in the editting room?) - the female transformer - the "twins", jar jar is now not the most annoying cgi character.. a bad racial stereotype, horrific vocal and character design, and the movie gives them nearly as much time as optimus prime. One has a gold tooth. lame! - Transformers/Decepticons are machines—but they're grown in organic egg-like sacs? - the crappy plot ? - dog/leg humping .. no thanks - bodily functions ... arent these machines?? no no no ... and the movie shows so every chance it gets (cry, spit, etc). At one point you see a robot's swinging testicles, and a character remarks on them. The audience laughs. - the retarded military... machine guns vs big ass robot.. come on? actually now that i think more about it.... 2/10 .. those 2 points only due to the hotness of megan fox |

That basically sums up how i felt about this movie. Also i still can't get over the fact that the majority of the theatre were laughing, cheering and clapping throughout the entire film! Then to top it off they gave it a standing ovation when the credits rolled. I would joke that maybe they were cheering that it was over, but somehow i think i would be wrong.
Wtf do people have against Jar Jar Binks? IT was actually one of the good things in the new movies that they actually should have put more effort in, they just reduced his importance.. |

Transformers has racked in 201 million domestically making it the 2nd highest grossing film in a 5 day span only behind The Dark Knight (203 million) but reading reviews id have to say its not gonna catch it. Either way this film is doing great. |

wtf.... glad I did not go to see the movie. Sounds 100% terrible. I hate movies that are inconsistent when based off of a book, old show, old movie, or and old story.

Yea.. whats up with the "female human robot" thingie... since when Transformers can mimic human?!.. [help] Having said that, only the Autobots had "human" pretenders, the Decepticons had monsters and Animals. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pretenders_(Transformers) I would imagine that this is where the original idea for that bird was. |

Lawl! That was better then the movie itself. (Entertainment wise)
Why would a robot need to fart, pee, or vomit? And why would it need testicles? Michael Bay does not understand what a robot is. If you had to pick a single scene that exemplifies Michael Bay's utter disdain for story and continuity, what would it be? When five Decepticons sink to the bottom of the ocean to retrieve Megatron's corpse. A submarine tracks five "subjects" going down, and when they get there, one of the Decepticons is killed to give parts to Megatron. 5 -1 +1 = 5, right? No, because the sub somehow tracks "six" subjects coming up. Not only is this very basic math, this is the simplest of script errors. It could not possibly have been more than one page apart in the script. And yet Michael Bay either didn't care to notice or didn't give a ****. "Math? Math is for pussies. My movies are about **** blowing up, man." |
